-Bitterness-

I believe bitterness is one of the main causes of all the problems we have in our life, and our churches.
We are so full of bitterness caused by pride and a hateful cold heart, we let it spread and devour us.
My Preacher always says, "Bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting the other guy to die."
By being bitter we are doing nothing but hindering our own walk with God and others.

Hebrews 12:15 KJV
"Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you..."

like a small root that grows into a great tree, bitterness springs up in our hearts and overshadows even our deepest Christian relationships.
A "root of bitterness" comes when we allow disappointment to grow into resentment, or when we nurse grudges over past hurts.
Bitterness brings with it:
                   •Jealousy
                    •Dissension
                      •Immorality
                           and so much more.
We need to pray daily The Lord will keep our hearts from turning bitter, and ask Him to heal the poision of our pride.

Genesis 33:1-11 KJV

Life can bring us some bad and difficult situations. We can feel cheated as Esau did, but we don't have to remain bitter.
We can remove bitterness from our lives by honestly expressing our feeling to God, forgiving those who have wronged us, and being content with what we have.

Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV
"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christs sake hath forgiven you."

God bless & thank you for reading!
